David Hargis, PE

David is a very talented Electrical Engineer with VITOK Engineers. He has recently completed a second Master of Power Systems Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and he has completed his B.S. in Computer Engineering and Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. David brings to VITOK over ten years of experience in Electrical Engineering in the areas of power system analysis, power generation control systems, electrical project management, and electrical equipment commissioning. He has designed black start back-up control systems, developed PLC programs for ethanol and other chemical production control systems, and implemented operator interface screens across a variety of HMI software platforms. His power systems skillset includes project experience with arc flash studies, power system modeling, protective relaying design, and MCC modernization. In David’s free time, he enjoys cooking outdoors, going on ocean cruises, and strives to be the best Tennessee sports fan that he can.
